PS Consulting offers a rich menu of options designed to support schools and teachers in improving their effectiveness in the classroom. Each workshop or training has been vetted by our team of consultants, including teacher leaders, and is designed using the Learning Forward Standards for Professional Learning. The InTASC Learning Progressions are a formative tool that educators can use to reflect upon their experience, gather feedback on their practice, and adjust their instruction to better meet the needs of their students. This training introduces schools to this tool and supports educators in using the progressions to identify their professional learning needs as part of the relicensure process and to design a plan to address them.
This training supports schools and teacher leaders with established professional learning communities that meet on a regular basis to begin using video to support their professional practice.
DURATION: 1 session with four follow-ups
The concept of jugyou kenkyuu, or lesson study, is a practice with a long and successful tradition in Japanese schools. We’ll introduce you to lesson study and help you develop a plan for implementing it.
Duration: 1 day, with 2 recommended follow-up sessions
Not every PLC can meet in person on a regular basis. Fortunately, digital technologies mean they don’t have to. We’ll support your district in developing PLCs that function both in face-to-face environments and virtually. This training is particularly useful for rural communities or for schools wishing to establish PLCs for content area specialists.
Using your teacher leaders, our team of consultants will support your school or supervisory union in designing and sustaining a system of professional learning built around collaborative video reflective practice and lesson study.

Looking for solutions for a thorny problem? PS Consulting can facilitate a teaching team in conducting an action research project using video-reflective practice (VRP). We'll create an action plan with your team, offer an introduction to VRP, and support its implementation in your action research.
